2-Hydroxyflutamide

2-Hydroxyflutamide is a non-steroidal anti-androgen that inhibits the androgen receptor. 2-Hydroxyflutamide exhibits anti-resorptive and anticancer activity. In osteoblasts, 2-hydroxyflutamide inhibits production of IL-6 and activation of NF-κB. In prostate cancer cells, this compound enhances the efficacy of other co-administered chemotherapeutics such as 5-fluorouracil.
