(R)-P7C3-OMe

This compound is a methoxy derivative of parent compound P7C3, an aminopropyl carbazole that exhibits antidepressant and neuroprotective activities. In animal models of chronic social defeat stress, P7C3 increases survival of dentate gyrus neurons. P7C3 also inhibits MPTP-induced neuronal death in animal models of Parkinson’s disease and delays the onset and preserves motor function in animal models of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
