Vilazodone

Vilazodone is an antidepressant that also exhibits some anxiolytic efficacy in animal models. Vilazodone inhibits the serotonin transporter (SERT), preventing serotonin reuptake, and also acts as a partial agonist at the 5-HT1A receptor; this compound has negligible activity at other 5-HT receptors or on NETs and DATs. Unlike many other antidepressants, vilazodone does not exhibit any potentially harmful cardiac effects.
