AG-1478
AG-1478 is an inhibitor of EGFR that exhibits anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti-asthma activities. AG-1478 inhibits proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma cells but potential use is limited by poor solubility. In bronchial epithelial cells, this compound decreases goblet cell number and mucus hypersecretion. AG-1478 also suppresses secretion of MUC5AC, VEGF, and IL-8 in airway epithelial cells, potentially preventing airway inflammation and remodeling.
